I had never grown Veronica spicata at a large scale until this year and I absolutely loved it. With a very long bloom period and lengthy blue flower spires, it’s a great garden plant and/or cut flower. Requires no staking despite its height. (A solid 4.5’ at our farm) It was one of our top plants for pollinators, sometimes with 3-4 bumblebees on each spire. Plant this with Mignonette and Phacelia and you might have quite the show of beneficial insects!. Low water needs and tolerant of lean soil.
