Pollinator Friendly
This striking plant brings a strong vertical statement to the garden with flowers that feature crisp, white petals, pretty purple filaments and neon orange accents. The closer you look, the more stunning it gets! Bees absolutely adore it—you can hear their excited buzz from a distance if you plant a decent size patch.
The plant produces multiple tall, sturdy spires, which, if cut back after their first bloom, will return for a second round. A hardy perennial suited for zones 4–8, it does well in dry, hot conditions and remains a reliable favorite for us. Originally sourced from Uprising Seeds, this variety is the species Verbascum chaxii, which is taller, thicker, and more upright than its other Verbascum cousins. I’ve grown this beauty in my home garden for many years and am thrilled to offer it. Pull up a chair nearby, and you’ll find it hard to look away from the pollinator action.
