A tomato with a following. These significant italian heirloom seeds were generously given to us by Alice Doyle of Log House Plants in Cottage Grove, OR. We were thrilled that she entrusted us to help with the preservation of this delicious late-season paste tomato. The Boutard Family of Oregon has preserved this strain for years. Good Stuff NW quotes Anthony Boutard of Ayers Creek Farm describing this tomato as “From a landrace tomato where the 'Sound of Music' was filmed near Asti in the Po Valley of Italy. Selected and refined by Ayers Creek Farm, Oregon, as the best tomato for the 45th parallel."
