Scabiosa is a great cut flower with a unique form that comes in many beautiful colors. I love this saturated, cherry-red variety with its tiny white pistils that really pop! Sometimes the blooms remind me of giant berries. Growing to 4 feet tall with long, straight stems and few leaves, it’s easy to harvest for cut flower growers. Native to the Mediterranean, these flowers thrive in sunny settings and draw plenty of pollinators, from bees and butterflies to moths. As with most Scabiosa, the more you cut, the more it produces.
