Frosted Explosion

This was my first year growing this grass for seed, and I’m thrilled with the results. I finally understand why it’s such a popular filler for bouquets—its shimmering seed heads enhance other flowers in the arrangement beautifully. The plant is strong and vigorous, requiring minimal attention, and cutting stems frequently encourages even more growth.

It also looks fantastic in a container. Frosted Explosion can be harvested at various stages, depending on how much of that airy “explosion” you want. I love how the seed heads glisten with dew or rain as though they’re sprinkled with tiny crystals. Overall, it’s an outstanding addition to both the garden and the vase. It also looks fantastic grown in a pot.
