Queen Sophia is one of my favorite plants. This French-type marigold, also known as a brocade marigold, features large, velvet-like blooms in deep red and gold. It looks quite royal! This carefree plant blooms abundantly from summer to frost with minimal effort. A magnet for pollinators like bumblebees and hoverflies – many even rest in the plants overnight! The petals are edible and are used as a dye plant around the world. An easy plant to grow.
