What a pretty Gaillardia! Commonly called blanker flower and native to North and South America, this incredibly tough plant doesn’t flinch in heat or drought. This perennial departs from the common red and gold type with its lovely apricot color. Another flower that I love to sit next to for a bit and watch all the bees having a good time. While it can be used as a cut flower, it only grew about 18” tall on the farm and will be shorter with less water. Very easy to grow!
