Looking for some hot summer color? Sulphur Cosmos deliver a vibrant mix of oranges and yellows that stand out, even from a distance. Unlike their taller, lankier cousins (Cosmos bipinnatus), Cosmos sulphureus are shorter and tidier, making them a nice choice for gardens where space is a consideration.
These flowers shine in pollinator gardens, attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects, while birds flock to their seeds when ripe. Drought-tolerant and virtually carefree, they’re ideal for meadows or low-maintenance plantings. As a dye plant, they can produce a gorgeous pumpkin-orange color. They can work as a cut flower as well.
