This Columbine is one of my very favorite flowers that we grow (I clearly have many favorites!). The name perfectly captures it—delicate, double blooms in a simply gorgeous shade of pink resembling a voluminous skirt. Though it appears dainty, this Columbine is surprisingly sturdy. With incredibly long, straight stems and few leaves to strip, it makes an exceptional choice for cutting.
An early bloomer that is both productive and long-lasting in a vase, I think it adds a sophisticated element to any arrangement. Whether displayed as a single stem or in a mixed bouquet, it makes a striking impression in the early part of the season.
Please note: Parts of this plant are poisonous.
