A Columbine with large flowers often 3“ long. Some are pure white from the top through their long spurs while others have buttery yellow blades (the inner petals) or are tinged with the palest blush of lavender on the tips of the sepals (outer petals) and spurs. With many tall rigid stems (2.5 ft.) and almost no leaves, this is an excellent spring cut flower. ‘Crystal Star’ makes a luxurious addition to a wedding bouquet. Great performance in both sun and partial shade. We saw many species of bumble bees on all our Columbines this year. Perennial.
